power flow yoga
These classes are the original & old school Power vinyasa practice and they are dynamic and powerful, empathetic and graceful. Get ready to sweat and transform your body, mind and life!
Our Power Flow classes include 10 minutes of shavasana, or deep Yogic relaxation. Shavasana offers us the opportunity to fully surrender to the moment, to let go of thoughts, worries, plans, memories and even our concepts of who we are.
We allow the body to rest and the mind to ‘recharge it’s batteries’, bringing us back to everyday life with renewed focus and balance.
slow paced hatha yoga classes
Our Slow Paced classes are light and creative, but slower and gentler than our regular Hatha classes. Postures are generally held for longer periods, and the transitions between poses are a little slower.
The more gentle nature of this class is great for beginners, but is also wonderful for intermediate and advanced students who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice.
yin yoga classes
Yin Yoga, at its core, is just another name for a hatha yoga practice. What makes Yin Yoga different is an intention to target Yin tissue (ligament, and fascia or connective tissue). Yang style yoga focuses on dynamic muscle stretching and strengthening postures, which maintain healthy muscle function, flexibility and strength.
In a typical Yin Yoga class, there is very little alignment given, just some simple instructions to ensure that no force or effort is applied. Without force or effort, the muscles in the target area can be relaxed in order to stress, not stretch, the connective tissue. With very little instruction required and each pose being held for a few minutes, we typically find more space to dive into doing a Yin Yoga class. This space can be utilized to enter a meditative state where the senses are withdrawn and we have an inner body experience.
